Tier 1 Extn after 5 months out of country - possible?

Post by yagarwal83 » Sat Sep 24, 2011 8:51 pm

Hello friends,

I have a situation here. My current Tier 1 visa will expire in May 2012. But I have to travel to a different country for work from January 2012 for 4-6 months.

Will it be possible for me to come to the UK in April and apply for an extension of my Tier 1? I can book for the same day service, travel to the UK and apply for extension. I will have all the required points specially previous earlings. With 8 months earning I can get the required points.

My only concern is will this 5 months away from the country hamper me in any way? I know I will not be able to apply for PR as i am away from the country for too long but will it also hamper my Tier 1 extension application?

Kindly advice.

Thanks,
Yash[/b]

Should be okay.
