NZ passport Holiday Visa in UK trip to France for few days

Post by tomjenkins26a » Sun Sep 25, 2011 11:41 am

Hi,

I want to take my New Zealand girlfriend to Paris and I'm not sure if she needs a visa for France.

She is over on a holiday visa presently in the UK on a New Zealand passport does she need to get a French visa to visit Paris for a few days?

Thank you for your help.

PS I don't think she does but she thinks she does

New Zealand passport holders do not need visit visas for the Schengen Area for a max stay of 90 days in 180 days. See below:
National New Zealand (NZ)
Embarkation United Kingdom (GB)/Destination France (FR)

France (FR)

Passport required.
- Passport and/or passport replacing documents must be valid
for at least 3 months on arrival.

Visa required, except for A max. stay of 3 months:
- for nationals of New Zealand;

Additional Information:

- Schengen visa is also valid for French Guiana, French West
Indies and Reunion, For details, click here
- Visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to
cover their stay and documents required for their next
destination.

- This country is a Schengen Member State TIRULES/R33
Warning:
- For passengers arriving/departing Geneva (GVA) and

Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg (BSL) , see Switzerland.
- Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused

entry.
To be honest, the French immigration control will in almost all certainty barely glance at the NZ passport before stamping her in. You have nothing to worry about!
