ILR - WP - Employment Letter

Post by manenoor » Tue Sep 27, 2011 6:48 pm

I am applying for ILR based on 5 years WP issued in Nov 2006 in few weeks.

I asked my employer to provide me employment letter, I provided them the latter template in stick notes in this forum.

However my HR came up with following wording and I am not sure this will serve the case:

[My Name] salary is £xx,xxx and we have matched his role and responsibilities to [Job Title ABC] as defined in the UK Border Agency Code of Practice Job Rules under the Software Profession, SOC CODE [1234].

We are supportive of [My Name]'s application and confirm we have a continuing need to employ him in the UK.

I am not quite happy with above wording but they insist this will serve the case.

Could any expert in this forum advice if above will work.

Should be okay .. since information that UKBA says the letter must show is mentioned.

Thanks for looking into it.

Also at the end of letter they have added following disclaimer which seems bit odd:

This reference is given in strict confidence and with no liabiility to (company name) or the undersigned.

I am not sure such disclaimer should be part of such letters or not as employer are suppose to certify my salary etc?

Your help will be much appreciated.
