CONDITION OF CONTINOUS STAY - INDEFINATE LEAVE TO REMAIN IN

Post by farah » Sun Sep 10, 2006 3:35 am

As per current HSMP guidence note indefinate leave to remain in UK (settlement) would be allowed after 5 year continous stay in UK with abscence from UK of not more than 6 months during the period of 5 year.

HSMP was started in 2002 when stay period was 4 year. Some of the earlierst applicants of 2002 by now would have obtained indefinate leave.

Any feedback from them how this condition was viewed by HO .

Whereas new approved applicant may raise concern regarding harsh condition of 6 months at whatever forum is available to them inthis regard.
