1. A person of any nationality who has professional standing.
2. A British citizen passport holder - professional person or over 25 years of age (either or both).

Does an BEng/Btech engineer from India working(on Tier 1 visa) in the UK qualify as person of professional standing.

Alternatively, will an engineer with MSc from the UK qualify as professional

It is not the degree that matters but whether he is registered with one of the relevant societies or councils which provide professional qualifications in the UK. For example a Charted Engineer (CEng) or if registered with the British Computer Society (BCS).

It's the same answer as my previous post. It's not the degree or the company they work for but whether they are registered with one of the relevant societies or councils which provide professional qualifications in the UK.
