Hello
I want to visit Switzerland for my holidays with my Wife .

I have visited Zurich twice while transit to Dubai back in 2005 and got paid entry on Zurich Airport around 40 euro for 2 days .

that was my trip to . Dublin > Zurich > Zurich > Dubai . with Swiss Air.

now i want to go to Zurich for my holidays for a week . do we need visa for switzerland ?

Kind Regards
Winstar.

I think you do. You need to check with the Swiss embassy in Dublin.

Yes you need to have visa to travel to switzerland. Last month I was in switzerland. I took schengen visa along with my wife. I had stamp 4 and she had stamp 3. few years ago there was no need visa to travel there but when switzerland join schengen then all non EEA has to apply for visa to travel.

yes indeed what "deepak nepal" says is correct, before Switzerland joined
Schengen, Irish Stamp-4 residents did not need a visa.
Its just too ironic to articulate anymore.
