OCI and BRITISH PASSPORT

Hello all,
Need your expert help.Me and my wife are on ILR. I will be applying for nationalization in Nov 2011.We were blessed by GOD with a child in August.I am.about to apply for a British PASSPORT for my new born very soon.My question is that ,,will my child be eligible to apply for OCI card as he has never owned an Indian passport.I know foe a reason that people like me who surrender their Indian passport can apply for.OCI CARD.BUT not sure what happens in the new born case. PLS HELP.

Only after either parent acquires foreign citizenship.

Until you or your wife acquires British Citizenship, your child will require an Indian visa to travel to India and will not get OCI.

you can apply for PIO card for your baby
