Wife's Visa application for Germany

Post by maverick_m » Sun Sep 25, 2011 1:26 pm

Hi ,

My cousin(pakistani) is in Germany and has residency status, work as a Research Associate. His visa is expiring in January 31 2012 , he is getting married in November 2011 and wants to apply visa for his wife(pakistani) in December.

Now concerning point is that can he apply his wife's visa when his own visa is expiring in 2 months ?

Due to this factor can German embassy raise an objection ?

Thanks,
Maverick

What type of visa will the wife be applying for? Does your cousin plan to extend his stay?

I can imagine that the expiring visa may cast doubt on their intent to leave Germany again.

She will be applying for Family Reunion Visa.
So I just want to is there any rule there which prevent 'Family Reunion Visa' if spouse' visa in Germany is expiring in 2,3 months ?

Thanks.

By the time he applies for his wife's visa, will he not have already renewed his German visa?
