Do I have to pay for an EU child travelling with me?

Post by Angel592 » Mon Oct 10, 2011 9:33 pm

Do you have to pay extra if you put a non dependant child on your visa application that's travelling with you even if that child holds an EU passport??

It's just that my Irish sister will be travelling with me and wondering if I have to pay extra.

An EU citizen doesn't require a visa to visit UK. So the question is why would you want to include a EU citizen in your visa application?

Moreover, every applicant must fill up a form for himself / herself! You cannot "include" others in your application form.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Because in the online application form, it asks ''are any children travelling with you'' I said YES, because I am planning to take my sister with me when I'm travelling even though she won't need a visa, Im just letting them know that I'm not travelling alone.. then they ask questions about the child (my sister) and i filled in her details

The purpose of that question is to inform UKBA if you'll be escorting a child / children to UK. You'll not be charged for mentioning that a child will be travelling with you.
