Spouse Visa - Effect of Quila/Bibi case on Under 21's?

Post by shazada.pathan » Tue Oct 11, 2011 5:20 pm

The ruling will take place tomorrow on the case of Quila/Bibi v Secretary of State for the Home Department. If Quila/Bibi are successful, then, although I understand the law of the land will not change immediately, will I be able to take my case via court easily and obtain a spouse visa if I can show my case is similar to theirs?

In my situation, I am a British national and my fiancé is a Canada national. She is 19 and I am 21. What effect will the decision of this case make on our situation? Thank you.

If it does revert back to 18 years old then i would presume they will legally change it however i feel its a long process. There are many angles that could be bended in order to keep the legislation at 21 years old. I had my hopes on this case aswel but to be honest im not that bothered anymore because me and my wife have got a few months to go. Already passeda few years just the last hurdle to complete.
