The UKBA rules are that you need 75 points (or 80 points depending on when your initial application was). Therefore if 75 points is what you need, and if 35k gets you to the minimum mark of 75, that is all the UKBA would like you to prove.zuby wrote:Hello guys,
When I applied my Tier 1 visa (July2010) I shown 40k earnings,
My question is can I show 35k for my extension (July2012)?
Although 35k is enough for me to cover 75 points with other criteria for Tier1 extension.
i applied initially earning £40k and then £35k on extensionzuby wrote:Hello ScopeD,
I am confused about my overall income is dropped with £5k.
I think I need 40k or more for my tier1 extension, because as per UKBA you need to prove same earning or more than your initial Tier1 application.
Is this Myth or Am I right?
Can you show me where it says you need "to prove same earning or more than your initial Tier1 application" in the guidance? All I know is that you need 75 or 80 points. In addition to this, I also know that:zuby wrote:Hello ScopeD,

It is best to consult the UKBA Guidance policy as it clarifies these points. That way you won't go wrong. I guess the points based calculator will be of use too.zuby wrote:I haven't read my previous comment anywhere on UKBA but on this Forum.
So my conclusion is I need 75 points for my extension.
No matter if my earning fells from my initial application,
Am I right?
