You will also need to hold ILR for one year so after 23rd Feb 2012. There is no requirement to complete 5 years working. There is a requirement to complete 5 years of residence.
2) Where is the interview held in police station or in passport office
The passport identity interview is held in passport office.

Process of Naturalisation

Post by enm1sg » Thu Oct 13, 2011 3:20 pm

If I am not wrong this is the process of applying

1)Complete the form AN and send it to Nationality Checking Service (NCS)

2) After Checking send the complete form AN with all supporting document to UKBA at Liverpool

3)reply / Passport interview from UKBA
4) Oath Ceremoies at local council
5) Finally Exchnge th oath certificate with BP

Correct it if I am not right in my sequences .

small (but important) corrections:
enm1sg wrote: 1)Complete the form AN and send it to Nationality Checking Service (NCS)
You don't send the form to NCS but attend a face to face appointment
2) After Checking send the complete form AN with all supporting document to UKBA at Liverpool
NCS will send the application for you.
3)reply / Passport interview from UKBA
You receive a letter from the HO informing about their decision. If approved, you will receive an invitation for a ceremony.
No interview is conducted at this stage
4) Oath Ceremoies at local council
In the ceremony you receive your naturalisation certificate.
5) Finally Exchnge th oath certificate with BP
You don't exchange your certificate. You use it as a supporting document when applying for a passport.

6) Passport identify interview.
You attend an identify interview. The passport is dispatched to your address a few days after.
