Two country Earnings - For extension Tier1 General

Post by sriyab1 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:02 pm

Does it matter on physical presence at the time of earnings.
I worked for Indian company which Paid Salary in India & Allowance in the UK and resigned in Feb 2011.
Was asked to go back to India to serve notice period.
I came back in March 2011 and joined a UK based company.

I am showing my earnings as below

Indian Company

1. India Earnings - Oct-2010 to March 2011 (Rupees multiplied by the Oanda rates ) to GBP - NO upliftment here for extension
2. UK Earnings - Oct-2010 to March 2011 - GBP

UK Company
1. UK Earnings - Mar-2011 to Sep 2011 - GBP

I want to keep as simple as possible.

Or Shall I show that I was in India from Feb to Mid March 2011 and was not present in the UK.

Any advise will be of great help

It might be best to see what the Policy Guidance says about this rather than wait for responses from others. You will find this on the UKBA site http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf

Thank you for the guidance

Hi I have read the guidance and it does not anywhere state one has to prove the physical presence. Thats the reason I wanted to know some valuable experience which is not in the guidance.

I worked in the UK then went to India & came back to UK.
So I am showing UK Payslips, Indian Payslips.

Since I will not use the upliftment ratio I guess no need to state anything in my Cover Letter.

I hope I am correct.

Thanx

Upliftment is not allowed any way

physical presence is not required for earning so u should be ok so long it is genuine work
