Congrates! So happy for you and definitely an encouragement to see another Set 0 getting a response. Looks like the 19th June week applicants are getting their passports back this week.

Btw, did you ever write to your MP as you were advocating it a fair bit. Just wondering if it helps.

Hello Guys

My ILR waiting is finally over!! I came back home last night and got the envelope from my neighbour, it was my passport with ILR stamped on 6th Oct. Document was posted from Liverpool so was probably processed there.

I don't really know how to express my joy and relieve, It was like a huge burden since the last 3months+. So I wish to make a toast to those still waiting and I will continue to use this platform to share my experience with those in need in the future. For those still waiting, I believe you will all soon get it. The homeoffice cum conservative govt have drastically cut budget and staff, the only thing I could possibly think regarding the delay. However I think they could make live a bit more easier though by providing opportunity to check for updates online like other countries do, even if at an additional cost. Genuine immigration application has suddenly turned a big battle!! What a shame!!!

So to everyone on this platform, I say thank you so much for all your tips and help, and very good luck to those still waiting.

... 13 weeks and still waiting :(

I am not sure what is taking so long! I know some people who received their ILR just 8 weeks after application (recently a few months back). Does anyone know the reasons for delay for so many people as seen in this forum?

Cheers

All the best to all!!

Writing to your MP not going to help you on the decission of the application. But it only helps to know why they are taking so long. and at what stage your application is stucked.
My close friend got stucked and asked for help from his local MP. and it worked for him. it is one of the option one can try. But each case has its own circumstances.

I have now posted a letter to HOME OFFICE raising a concern regarding the delay as I noticed that some of them who applied later have already received their ILR. HOPE is the only word that I have in mind..........

Dude any luck with your application?

I read this forum before applying 3 months ago. Back than the average seems to be 10 weeks which is the reason why I applied by post...*sigh*....We'll just have to cheer each other on in the mean time. I'm waiting for mine to get a mortgage.

Finally going to complete 6 months end of this week and still no signs of the passport. Guys think twice before you send a postal application as we are kept in the dark until you receive your passports from the Home Office. Absolutely no response. I am planning to take up the case with the local MP. Already sent a letter to Home Office raising a concern for the delay but received no response on the same. Calling is also of no use...Just waiting and waiting..

That is so unfortunate. Which category did you apply and how about the expiry date of your current visa, also have you thought about may be withdrawing your application and applying in person. I hope you get passport soon or atleat explanation of delay that you can rectify.

Hi Dalmeida,

Any update on your waiting status??

dalmeida wrote:Hello all,

This forum has been extremely helpful during all 3 of my visa applications.

I've applied under the pre-Nov HSM Jr ruling and it's a fairly straightforward application.

The documents I've supplied are -
Cover letter
6 months payslips
6 months bank statements
Employment letter from current employer
4 most recent P60s and letter from the HMRC showing income earned and tax paid over 5 years (I'd lost my first P60)
Previous 2 visa approval letters (initial and extension)
Council tax and bank letters dated over 2 years as proof of cohabitation
Birth certificates of the 2 kids
Passports

My ILR application timeline so far is as follows -

16th August - Application Posted by special delivery
17th August - Application received by BIA
19th August - Payment deducted from credit card

Fingers crossed...
