Tier1 extension earning query

Post by tpsanju » Sun Oct 16, 2011 10:22 pm

Hi,

This is my first post and was wondering if someone is kind enough to help & respond to my below query.

I am planning to apply for my tier1 extension soon. I am working as a IT contractor for more than an year now & have an income more than £40K, though I just need around £35K to get the necessary earning points.

Can I just use my last 10months payslips to show the earning of £35K or do i have to show 12months payslips only ?

Thanks
Sanjeev

Its upto you, You can use either 12 month or 7 month or 10 month, but your earning should be fulfilled.

to put your mind at rest, i know it talks about it in the policy guidance as well but I can talk from personal experience and yes you can apply with fewer than 12 payslips, I did mine with 7 payslips and know someone who did it with 2 payslips, as long as you meet the earnings criteria
Keep it simple!
