Needs clarify on work experience

Hi Friends,

I am MBA graduate and worked for 5 and half years in India. And I resigned for my job in 2004 and came to UK on dependant visa. From around 2 years I am not working. Shall I eligible for HSMP to claim my past experience. Please advise me.

You should be able to get points for past experience as you have 5 plus years.

Just make sure the roles and responsibilities match graduate level.

Seniors will highlight more on this.

Not due to study, as I mentioned earlier I came to UK with my spouse on dependant visa and due to family, I have n't worked.

I worked as Sr. Software Engineer and I got exp letters from my employers as well.

Can you please give more details on roles and responsibilities to match graduate level.

I HAVE ONE DOUBT REGARDING MY EXPERIENCE
1) WHEN I WAS DOING MY MS IN TELECOMM ENGG IN AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE AS A STUDENT I WORKED AS A TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE WHICH CLEARLY SPECIFIES THAT IT REQUIRES GRADUATE LEVEL AND DURING THAT PERIOD I WILL BE RESTRICTED TO ONLY 20Hrs WHICH ALL U KNOW AND IT IS PARTIME JOB. WILL THIS EXPERIENCE WHICH I HAVE DONE FOR ONE YEAR WILL BE CONSIDERED AS AN EXPERIENCE BY HSMP TEAM.

PLZ KINDLY HELP ME IN THIS REGARD

Hi rlrsr,

This is from caseworker guidance:

Computer Software Engineers
Software engineers working in applications or system development.
Application software engineers analyse users’ needs and design, construct,
test and maintain computer applications software or systems. They can be
involved in the design and development of many types of software, including
software for operating systems and network distribution, and convert
programmes for execution on a computer.
Software engineers co-ordinate the construction and maintenance of a
company’s computer systems and plan their future growth.

Application/Software engineers must possess strong programming skills but
are more concerned with algorithms and analysing and solving programming
problems than with actually writing code.
It is usual that this level of work would require a degree, therefore we can
accept this as graduate level work.

So try to make your reference letter acording this.

But I dont have any idea about past earning section. 2 yeas gap...

In guidance mentioned only gaps due to stady. I'm sorry IO dont know how they will consider you case.
