ILR dependent clarification

Post by Pavkamp » Wed Oct 19, 2011 10:51 am

HI,

I am applying for ILR in person on Friday 21/10/11 under Tier 1( General ) and work permit.

I got married in March and I applied for my Wife's Tier 1 dependent in May. She got VISA till October 2012. Now I am moving from Tier - 1 to ILR.

1) Do I need to apply for my wife's dependent VISA again under ILR?
2) If yes, How many days will I have, to apply for her VISA after recievening my ILR.
3) If I am applying for my wife's dependent VISA under ILR then what documents I need to submit.

Thanks a lot in advance for your valuable help

If wife is already in UK:
1. FLR(M) before her current PBS leave expires or she travels abroad (whichever happens first).
2. SET(M) when 287(a)(i)(d) is met.

If wife is yet to enter UK:
1. She may use the Tier 1 (General) visa to enter UK before you are granted settlement.
2. If she intends to travel to UK at a time when you are already a settled person, then she will need to apply for spouse visa.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Thanks a lot sushdmehta.

Just to confirm she is in UK. that means I need not apply till her current tier 1 dependent expire unless she leaves the country.
