HSMP work experience

Hi all,

My name is Moustafa, I am Egyptian, i would like to ask you if i can add my work experience i had during college study to my graduate experience to claim for 50 points, as i have 7 years of experience since my graduation. and worked for 3.5 years before graduation that i can simply prove.

Degree and work experience are treated seperately.

If you can prove you have 5 years of graduate level work experience (full time) then you should get points for work experience.

You can get points for "work experience" even if you do not have a degree , but the work is of graduate level.

i am 28 years old, will finish my mba in 6 months

as i only scored 60 points for

Mba 25
7years experience. after graduation 35
so i wonder if i can prove that i worked for 3 years before graduation(which i did) i think this would get me points to past the required 65 points

I hope you have sufficient evidence to prove that you have at least 10 years full time graduate level work experience including at least 5 years’ in a senior or specialist role to claim the required 50 points. Please note that work experience seems to be the toughest area to score in.

Do you have any other masters degree to your credit?? If not, how do you expect to score 25 points when you're still 6 months away from completing your MBA ?? Or it is that you plan to apply for HSMP only after you complete your MBA .. in that case, yes, you'll get the 25 points for MBA.

Yes, i plan to apply after finishing MBA. and i easily can prove my 7 years of experience after graduation as they all were in my current company that i have been holding a senior job in it for 5 years now as the export department head. i also thought of getting a certificate from my fromer employee that was before graduation as i worked as an accountant during my college study but i don't know if they would be concidered (those 3 years ) a graduate level job or not. I am asking from now before applying in order to see what is my plan.

I HAVE ONE DOUBT REGARDING MY EXPERIENCE
1) WHEN I WAS DOING MY MS IN TELECOMM ENGG IN AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE AS A STUDENT I WORKED AS A TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE WHICH CLEARLY SPECIFIES THAT IT REQUIRES GRADUATE LEVEL AND DURING THAT PERIOD I WILL BE RESTRICTED TO ONLY 20Hrs WHICH ALL U KNOW AND IT IS PARTIME JOB. WILL THIS EXPERIENCE WHICH I HAVE DONE FOR ONE YEAR WILL BE CONSIDERED AS AN EXPERIENCE BY HSMP TEAM.

I must appreciate your efforts to plan in advance. Most of us fail on this front !!

Maybe you're aware of these already, but if you're not then the following is a good starting point to understand what caseworkers look for in the HSMP applications. I call it the "HSMP bible".
