Non EU Spouse with a irish resident card travel to Malta

Post by chursy » Sat Oct 22, 2011 6:10 pm

Hi guys,

I have a resident card from ireland and i understand that provided i am travelling with my EU spouse i would be needing the visa.

I am just trying to have a backup plan in case i get confronted by the immigration officer or the staff.

Can someone please provide me exams links of the documents perhaps extracts of Eu directive etc for this.

I have checked on the MALTA foreign office website, cant find anything sensible there.

Also does it matter if we fly from UK as i have a family permit of UK as well or do i have to fly in from ireland?

Thanks for that

I understand that their shouldn't be an issue re entering malta now.
However i am in UK at the minute and my wife is on a family permit here which is due to expire on the 6 November. Is it going to an issue if i travel from a UK airport to MALTA say in December?

I am aware that there is no compulsion of applying for a resident card in UK.
