Suggestion for Visa

Post by Sorna » Mon Oct 24, 2011 10:36 am

Hi Guys, I came here to UK on May 2007 on HSMP Visa (i applied for HSMP before 7 November 2006 and got entry clearance on Jan 2007). I got 3 years extention (Tier-I General Migrant category) on Dec, 2008. My Visa will expire on Jan, 2011. I've been living in UK for about 4 years 6 months. As i understand i can't apply for Permanant Residency since i have not completed my full 5 years. My company is ready to sponser Tier-2 Work Visa. I also plan to apply for PR by March/April 2012. I wonder what will be the better option for me ? Should i go for Tier-2 or any other visa option available ?

I welcome your suggestions.

Thanks,

Why do you wish to change to Tier 2? Perhaps because you aren't aware that you can apply for as many extensions as you wish!

1. Apply for another extension ... using FLR Tier 1 (HSMP) form .... before your current leave expires.
2. Apply for settlement as and when you qualify.

Questions:
1. On what date did you arrive in the UK (2007)?
2. On what date is your current leave due to expire?

Thanks for your reply. Do you have any idea how long it will take to process the FLR Tier 1 extention application ?

As for your questions, I arrived on May 5th 2007. My FLR expires on Jan,7th, 2011.

Only UKBA can answer such questions.

The usual I guess.

Most of the cases take only 1 day, provided they are straight forward.
