Applied for Tier-1 G Extension and PSW Approval Letter sent

Post by redbull110 » Wed Oct 26, 2011 2:56 pm

Dear Moderators & Senior members,

I applied for my Tier-1 General Extension couple of months back and got my documents along with passport & Approval letter back this afternoon.

When I read the Subject of my approval letter it read as follows:

Application for the Tier-1 (Post Study Work) visa ...........

And it was the generic template which is normally they have for every tier approvals.

I even called HO general enquiry number and they were able to see that my case was for Tier-1 General rather than PSW and asked me that either I wait for my BRP or alternatively I can fax my case worker and gave me a FAX number.

Question is, should I wait or should I fax my case worker?

Has anyone experienced this kind of a situation and if they have then what was their approach to this.

Any Suggestions plz.....

Thanks.

Do fax / email the caseworker ..and make him/her aware of the error. If the BRP is not yet printed, he/she may be able to take corrective steps to avoid a wrong BRP being printed.

Could just be a typo error on the approval letter! But since you don't know ... and you'll have to waste time if a wrong BRP is issued ... best that you do your bit (inform caseworker) without delay.
