If you were previously awarded points for your qualification then you would get same points for your qualification in your extension application regardless of the points calculator result.

you use the same points calculator and you get the same points for your degree which you got last time when you applied for the first time.
all the best

Theoretically, UKBA should award same point as initial application. As far as I remember this was discussed quite a lot about a year ago when UKBA stopped accepting some degrees especially PGD from some private colleges.

zeeshan12345,

If you want someone to help you, you better elaborate your case a bit more.

My suggestion is, write down your complete case so that someone can help you.

The approval letter received with your initial application shows how many points awarded for each section. Kindly reproduce those here along with the point scoring criteria like, master degree : 35 pts etc.

This way everone in board knows what is your current status and what query you are seeking to be answered.

Everyone here is READY and willing to help you. They only requirement is a proper detailed question with 100% true information.

Since you are a new user, let me tell you. This board is used by many illegal migrants as well. However, no one asks them about thier status and helped them as much as possible.

So feel free in asking any question....it will be replied.
The question is... to be or not to be....

From which college did you obtain your PGD - that is what makes the difference in the answer as to what you can expect with an extension?

According to the policy guidance you should get the same points for your qualification as you got on your initial application. Just don't forget to send your initial approval letter with your application.

I will be applying in few months as well so fingers crossed and good luck.
