biometric for baby

hello all,
i have recently applied for my baby's (20 months old) dependant visa under the tier 1 general catagory. royal mail's special delivery record said the mail was received on 24/10/2011 and the visa fees were deducted on the same day. my question is will my baby be called for doing biometric? how long does it normally take to get the biometric notification letter from ukba and then how long do they take to process visa? has anyone got any recent experience of such a case? pls respond ungently....
