Post by king99 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 10:17 am

HI,

I had some queries about application process which are as follows

1.Do we require individual bank statements for 3 months having minimum 800 pounds or we can ask bank for one complete bank statement of past 3 or more months having 800 Pounds ?

2.What is normal Processing time for PSW?

3.Whats is process for sending postal special delivery , Please can any body elaborate on it ?

Would be thankful for your help .

Regards,
King

1.bank statements must be printed no longer than 1 month before the date of visa application. so, request a statement from your for xyz period that covers whole duration. make a small transaction before requesting the statement so the date is printed on the statement

2. 4-6 weeks if applying from uk

3.you buy two special delivery envelope from post office. self-address one of the envelopes. and write ukba address on the other. put all your docs in this letter and hand it back. do keep hold of receipts etc. and note down the bar code if you want to track them. make sure you include self addressed envelope with your docs too.

Please help !! - Name in Bank statement

Post by king99 » Mon Oct 31, 2011 11:00 pm

Hi,

I get bank statement which has only my initial's and my surname(family name) mentioned on it. My concern is that it does not have my first name and middle name written on it.Would this be problem while application and if yes , how can I correct the problem ?

if initials plus surname matches your full name as written in passport... i dont see it as an issue and will proceed as planned!

Hi ,

I had one more doubt regarding bank statement , I did not get one of bank statement so I asked my bank to resend statement which they did , but on it directly starts with cash transaction instead of saying Opening balance , is it fine ? also it lacks statement number .

As long as it covers last 90 days it should be fine.

I am in confusing situation , I have lived in 2 accommodation as a student which was till 24 June in 1 accommodation and went to stay in other accommodation onwards. My first bank statement shows the address of accommodation but is on 4 July the day I was not there , I asked my friend to collect it .The other 2 Bank statements are on my new address. My question is that in providing address should I write the date I actually left from first accommodation , If I write it , it wont match with date of 1st Bank statement as I had received it after leaving that accommodation. Please suggest solution for it.Does our exact dates of staying are verified ?

write the date when you ACTUALLY left.

write a covering letter explaining the anomaly to caseworker i.e. why dates dont match etc etc

I agree with arsenal, but it is very unlikely that this would be a problem... updating address on the bank's side takes time, and even if you do it on the day, there is no guarantee it will be changed immediately.

I had the same mismatch, no problem at all.

As for the question if it is checked, I doubt they really check this unless there is smth dubious about application...
