Well, coming back home after work I found a post slip to collect from post office and I didn't waste time and found my ILR... Alhamdulillah

there is no need to worry. the passport will come back at some point. I would start getting impatiant only when I get past 11 weeks, but i hope to get it before that.

I, with regret, concur and share ah_kassem’s gut feeling now, although I was pretty optimistic when I first got up on Monday, it appears to be a very slow week.

I wrote a letter to UKBA on 11th Oct. and since then I have heard nothing, no reply or update. I remember when I wrote to them in the past for my DPU application they use to reply me with an letter received acknowledgement.

Has anyone else been writing to the 10-year ILR office and had any replies?

Just a quick note to share that my wife's ILR-10 yrs category arrived yesterday (exactly in 4 weeks). Application sent: 3 October ILR received: 3 November (ILR stamped a week ago).

Few of you might remember, if you have've read my earlier posts, my documents and passports were mishadled and were sent to someone else address. I had complained to the HO and also through my MP, HO had apologised and given me a direct number to contact and had assured that they will give my application a special priority. I have yet to get my ILR (also 10 yrs category: applied same date), which I hope to get in a couple of days.

Finally, thanks to this forum and its helpful members for your kind help in the time of need.

Congratulations to tradle1 and thanks to maahir for the information. Yes it appears the amount of supporting documents is not relevant, it also appears that the 9.5 weeks average time is getting skewed. Out of six people who applied on the 15th of Aug, four received their passports back.

Whilst there are exceptional cases still waiting considerably longer, many people passed their 11 week mark whilst me and ah_kassem are on the tenth week now

Let’s hope we have a better week next week
