ILR success Croydon WP+tier1 & 1 dependent

Post by geek1981 » Mon Nov 07, 2011 3:49 pm

Just wanted to thank contributors of this forum. You guys rock!:)

Had my PEO appointment this morning and I got my approval in 20 minutes. I had all the docs ready as suggested on this forum. Never had more than 20 days continuous absence, total 119 days.

Documents asked and submitted:

Set(o) form oct 2011
2x photos of main applicant and dependent
Spreadsheet for absent days with number of days itemised
12 months pay slips
5 p60 slips
Spreadsheet for earnings with bank statement page numbers
Original bank statements
Life in the uk (case worker congratulated my wife for scoring 100%) :D
Cohab documents x2

After taking all this cw did some checks for 15-20 minutes and then told me to collect passport from counter 22. Collected passport in around 50 minutes. Overall service was very good and speedy!

Cheers!

congratulations! i have heard there are new rules from oct 31 onwards for work permit holders - did that new rule apply to you as well since you had work permit before even though u now have tier 1? also i heard another new rule about SOC and have no idea what it is... do you know anything about that?

my case is that i currently have tier 1 general, and i am applying for ILR on the basis of tier 1 general for 3 yrs (current) and work permit for 2 yrs (previous).

Cw didn't ask me anything other than the above docs. However my p60s should've proved my employment on WP. I had WP 3 yrs and tier1 2 yrs too.

Hi,

Congrats on your successful application for ILR. I have an appointment in Croydon next week.

do you have formats of any covering letters and spreadsheets used in your application?

What else did you submit for scoring points as required for Tier 1?

Thanks

I used the covering letter and spreadsheet from the sticky threads on this forum. Alo no proof for scoring as I already provided them for tier1 application in 2009. There is a checkbox on SET(O) form for that.

They didn't ask me for employer letter, don't think you need one if you are on tier1.

Hi geek1981,

First of all COngrats! that was really speedy!
You have mentioned - Cohab documents x2. Can you please specify which documents you used? Not sure what all qualifies as cohab docs. Can you throw some light on this please?

Thanks
