Depends on the backlog of application, It can take the HO a while to take a fee.philip2011 wrote:Hi all, I am new to this forum and I am very happy to see how people who does not know each other helping a lot. Thank you all!
Now my story: i am EU member with ILR for more than 3 years and I have applied for BC on 13/10/2011 under immigration law. But until present no fee has been taken out of my account, any one in the same situation? I have tried to contact the HO regarding this but with no succes.
Also I have start to worry about my application cos I have not feeled section 2.4 and 2.5 on the top of wich is written EEA nationals exercising EC Treaty Rights. Do you think that could be a problem? I have not feeled them cos I am EEA national but I am not exercising EC Treaty Rights, I am applying under Immigration Law ( 1+3+1 Years Business Visa + 3Years ILR). Any comment will be helpfull. Thank you!
I hope theydo something within the next two weeks or else we might have to wait till next year for approvals. I am also of the view that the month of December might not be taken seriously since most workers will be busy with their own holidays or planning chrismas at the expense of N applications. If there are no real approvals in the next three weeks one must relax until after six monthssackcy wrote:humtum hope we get our applications "approved" by end of this month, or else we might get stuck in the upcoming Christmas and new years holidays in the month of December, as i think it will be hard to get ceremony appointment and maybe ips might get slow in functioning due to the December end holidays.
you know guys what i mean :-s
I am now looking more at the work load in terms of mail sorting and deliveries towards the December holiday period. The question hithertofore is : will approvals arrive in time ? On the other hand a conslolation is that the rush to meet targets may cut the waiting time downsackcy wrote:Friends,
I was told by IPS (via email) that they will be off only on the public holidays (ie 26th and 27th) and will be working rest of the days (ie during the "assumed" break between Christmas and the New Years).
Still hope/pray each of us and others (outside this forum) gets our "approvals" so that we can post (asap) the smiling statement "CITIZENSHIP JOURNEY ENDS" like our other friends.
I think there is some degree of reluctance to take on much work on the part of the HO particularly where there is a back log; I do not understand the view that the longer one stays here the longer the application takes because my application for residence in the UK prior to the application for BC took more than 10 years. Secondly my brother made his application for BC after 20 years and he had held ILR for about 10 years yet the application took only two monthsWill Singh wrote:"According to the trends and pattern of BC approvals it appears that the Home Office are working in a last in last out direction"
Do you mean last in first out?
Can you share with us why you think they are do this?
Also I have a few American friends and they were saying the longer you have be here in the UK the longer the applications take, whats your opinion on that.
I have been trying to look for trends myself but if we look on the time-lines on this forum we dont know if people are updating there statues or not..

Not sure what you mean by "last in last out"??
I agree with you about the length of stay the longer it takes, but if you think about it maybe they have more checking to do as you have been here longer.
My uncle applied in January this year and got his approval back under 4 weeks and he had been Indefinite here for 20+ years.
My view is that they might want to get things moving for Christmas and New year so there maybe a lot of happy people who have been waiting a long time get there approvals...
Good Luck to all.

Sometimes i do not think that it is luck because of late approvals seem to follow a pattern or patterns almost completely identical to each otherfev wrote:I'm too concerned about the order of processing BC applications and it seems to me HO don't have any particular criteria e.g. first in first out because judging by timeline thread some people have been waiting for much longer than me but on the other hand a lot of people who applied after me received their approvals. I can't get rid of the feeling that it's simply luck when an application is going to be processed (providing it is straight-forward). It also appears that HO process Spouse of BC slower than Work Permits and Tiers
I apologise if these patterns were discussed previously but it would be great if you can describe what you noticed about HO decision making process in more details. I'm really interested to find out.malaika wrote:Sometimes i do not think that it is luck because of late approvals seem to follow a pattern or patterns almost completely identical to each otherfev wrote:I'm too concerned about the order of processing BC applications and it seems to me HO don't have any particular criteria e.g. first in first out because judging by timeline thread some people have been waiting for much longer than me but on the other hand a lot of people who applied after me received their approvals.
