Hi Guys,

I was sleeping and suddenly the bell rang, I jumped like mad shouting postman, postman, indeed it was. I told him I was waiting for this post for ages.

Yes guys my passport arrived today with ILR stamped on it. I have sent with my passport planty of douents, the weight of my post was 1.4 kg. I send Set(o), 3 passports, 2 photos, LIUK, 4 GP letters cvering 4 years, 5 years p60, 3 pay slips for 3 months, 3 sets of saving accounts statement each covering 3 month, special delivery envelop, 2 employers letters, letters from my universities when I was student. ( sent copies of all the documents as well)
my case was 5 years student visa and 5 years student depndant, it was straight forward, no gaps, always applied to renew way before the expiry of my visas, no offence of any sort, no significant gaps.

the time line is:

Type of application: Long term residency 10 years
I applied 26 days before completing 10 years
application posted Royal mail special delivery: 27/08/11 (Saturday)
Application recieved: 29/08/2011
Payment taken: 01/09/11
Acknowledgment letter: 01/09/11
ILR stamped liverpool: 02/11/11
Pssport recieved in the return special delivery I included with the aplication on 10/11/11 1 day under 11 weeks.

Hussam... congratulations my man.

I am so glad to hear you finally got your passport back. When I saw the reference number of my prepaid envelop on Royal Mail the night before, I went nuts, I could not even wait for the postman and I was running/driving around looking for him. Even though I never met my local postman, I established that his name is Tony and some vague descriptions of his appearance through some of his colleagues lol. Good job it was on a Saturday, I do not know whether I would have gone to work if my passport was being delivered on a weekday.

Anyway, congratulations again and hope vien1206 and raja1976 get their passports back this week, they are the longest standing members on the pending list.

I have been a silent follower on this forum for a long time.Seeing everyone getting their passports back is actually a relief,its what I hung on to....After praying and fasting for an early return of my passport so I can go home for my friend's wedding.Got a call from my lawyer this morning couldn't believe it; but it was what it was....

I used a lawyer although my case was very straightforward,no breaks,no tickets what so ever,I thought lawyer would speed it up which didn't but glad I got my passport back anyway....

I sent all necessary documents such as passport,Life in the UK test,Certificates from my courses,bank statements,payslips and P60....

Congratulations in advance to those waiting and keep believing God afterall HO are people like me and you,so there is nothing God cannot do to change their hearts....

Its a big joy....no renewal date on the permit...wow

this week turned out to be the best so far, 8 passports have been returned so far and we still have tomorrow and saturday. I hope that all those who have been waiting for more than 10 weeks to recieve their passports by Saturday.

Hi Guys
Just some food for thought. It appears those who send a return special delivery envelop with their application are on average receiving their passports back a week or more earlier than those who do not.
A number of post here indicates for example that most applications returned last week and this week were stamped around 27th of October. However, only those who sent a return envelop with their applications received ther passports last week. A number of past yesterday had their ILR stamped on the same date yet only received passport back yesterday.

Congratulations to ah_kaseem not only on getting his visa but doing an incredible job on this forum. It has been ENORMOUSLY helpful to me, so now here is my info to increase our sample size.

Set O application - 5 years student visa, 4 years permit free work visa, 2 years tier 1 general.
applied after 10 years and 11 months in the UK.
extensive travel (absences) from UK but days 'made up' in the extra 11 months.
no criminal convictions, no gaps between visas.

ILR stamp date: 02/11/11
Attempted delivery second class recorded: 10/11/11
collected it this morning 11/11/11
