EEA2 what can it do

My Chinese wife is visiting me on a family visit visa. What are the uses of an eea2 document if we apply for one? She has three months left on her visiting visa. Can we visit other European countries with it and come back to England? If I find work in Europe can she accompnay me using it?In other words is it worth us applying for, when we are not sure of our future plans.
