Civil court orders and Good characters

Dear All,
I have query about civil court orders in relation to a dispute about liability for a car accident ( no offence committed by either party i.e speeding, dangerous driving, alcohol ,etc...) but could not agree liability through insurance company and the other party claims personal injury. If that happens does it affect your 'Good Character' please advice as I need to take a decision whether to drop this civil claim just in case it turned against me.

I would really appreciate any informed advice ASAP.
