ILR Help Please>>>Much Appreciated...

Post by shoei13 » Mon Nov 14, 2011 5:30 pm

Hello Everybody thanks is advance.

I am going to apply for ILR in december. My history is quite straight forward. but i got one doubt which i want to clear.

I came here as a student 2004 then i got SEGS

In 2006 december i got work permit for 5 yrs untill december 2011. I worked for that company till 30 th September 2008. That means my employment ended at 30/09/2008

Now on 19th of September 2008 , 11 days before my employment ended I applied for Tier 1 (migrant) i got my Visa on 9th October 2008

My question is

"When i apply for ILR my work permit period (which is almost 1.6 yrs) will be legally counted towards 5 yrs of continous stay.... "

I hope you understood my point. You reply will be highly appreciated.....

regards

S

Assuming that you applied for leave as WP holder from within the UK, your ILR clock started on the date of issue of leave as a WP holder (in 2006).

See also FAQs for ILR - WP/Tier 1/Tier 2/HSMP holders and, given the information posted, has not reset since.

I would appreciate if u explain it more clearly.

I got work permit december 2006 - 2011

but on 30/09/2008 i left the company but 11 days b4 leaving on 19th september 2008 i applied for Tier 1 and i got it on 9th october 2008.

as i know when u leave any company your work permit is on (your visa )become invalid so i was concerned whether in my case was i become illegal and also my clock didnt reset...?? as u know i already applied 11 days b4 my employment ended

Therefore, neither did you become illegal nor did your ILR clock reset.

My question is about ILR document requiremnt. I am currently on Tier 1(migrant).

I just did my extension 2 months back and i now planning for apply for ILR.

Now do i only have to show 12 months pay slips and bank statements or i have to show 5 yrs P60/P45 for previous employments as well.

Your replies will be much appreciated.

kind regards,
S
