Photostatic print of a record?

Post by edthesock » Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:41 pm

Hello all.

I will be applying for an extension to my ancestry visa soon and I have just received all the documents I used for the original visa from home. The guidance notes that I downloaded say that documents must be original, that copies are unacceptable unless there are valid reasons and that applications are unlikely to be granted without the original.

I have a Certified True Photostatic Print of a Record for both my grandparents marriage certificate and my birth certificate (Statement of Birth) These are what I used to get my original visa. My grandparents were married in 1945 and the original is long lost as is my original birth certificate.

Am I out of luck?

Cerified copies should be ok.
