Hi there

Has any one hv idea what the waiting time is for Stamp 5 WCATT. I sent my passports off 3 weeks ago got acknowlege letter this week saying putting chronological order. Has any one in similar situation.

Did you not find such info on the form or INIS website?
I think it should be 6 months..anyone??

i just want to check if you have receive your WCATT? how long did it take for you to get it, i am due to apply on Dec, just want to be able to make plans for travel. thanks

Still i am waiting. Its been 5 weeks now since i hv appliced. I just received Acknowledge 2 weeks ago. I don't know when the process will fully complete

I for applied for WCATT on 1st of Nov last year and was waiting over 3 month to get it (mid Feb '11). Then I had to reapply for renewal in the early May, reason- new passport. And again was waiting to get it back, until mid July. Mind, it was for renewal!

Don't know what way they operate in WCATT section but it is disgrace. They effectively confiscate your passport until the application is approved, or rejected.

Why passport has to be with them while they are proccesing the application? Think this attitude and behaviour of the people in WCATT section deserves to be put in a newspapers.

thanks for your reply, sorry for replying late.
if its going to take 3 months, it is so so long! i was thinking of applying for this on 12 Dec, i am planning to go travel at the end of February2012 I wonder if i will receive my passport back on time.

i totally agree with you Miso1
why do they need to keep our passport when they are not doing anything with it! i cannot travel to anywhere during the period of application, that is so annoying!

I recently applied for WCATT on 28th Nov and surprised to receive acknowledgment letter on 1st Dec with new format of personal number and application number.

hope it will be processed as promised on INIS website in 40 working days.

hi All

just to let you know, i applied for my WCATT on the 30th Nov 2011, just got it today 6 February 2012. taking into account of 2 weeks (maybe) for Xmas hols etc, it arrived within 8 weeks.

Just to let you know, By GOD's grace.. i got approval on last december 13th 2011, i applied on october last week 2011

Hi,

I applied for renewing my Stamp 5 on my new passport and its over 5 weeks since I got the acknowledgement from INIS. I have to travel in 2 weeks time and just wondering if there is any way of fast tracking this process. I went down to talk to them yesterday but I only got a vague reply that it will be middle of june.

Also is the stamp on the old passport still valid. I had renewed my old passport a little earlier than the actual expiry.

Has anyone renewed recently and approx how much was the waiting time.
