I am aware this thread specifies the time frames, but Bear with me
I came on student visa 2007, from Kenya and dropped off uni April 2008 due to and never been to college ever since.
Worked from then onwards full time on my very own NI card and paying tax (MORE THAN 20 HRS) for 3 years ataleast.
Met my partner in 2010.Got married in Jersey(they didnt need the COA) Then.
Had a recommendation for a solicitor from this forum as I was not in uni and working more than 20hrs then Till September 2011
Got married December 2010,visa was expriring 0ctober 31st 2011
Advice was to apply 2 weeks before the end of my 4 years visa AS THIS GUARANTTED ME A RIGHT TO APPLEAL INCASE MY APPLICATIN WAS REJECTED- and stopped working a month before(ie September 2011) My solicitor made the application
16th October 2011 appalication launched
31st October 2011Biometrics letter received
31st October 2011Boimetrics done
18th November 2011 Indefinate Leave To Remain ID RECEIVED
I would count myself lucky,If any of you are out there and need any help, feel absolute free to get Intouch and All the best

You say you got flr(m) but then in your post make it seem like you got ILR?

I think you're confusing the two. In two years time you'll be applying for ILR.
I tell it like it is.
