Confirming automatic right to work for non-EU family member

Hi All

Can anyone please direct me to some official UK or EU source/s where it is clearly stated there are no any type permit / authorisation required for non-EEA family member of EEA national to legally work in UK (or any state if EU source; assuming EEA national is a legal resident in that state).

Need to show it to my employer as a confirmation.

Print off the directive and show them.

[Directive/2004/38/EC]

The EEA Family Permit and the Residence Card both say the family member can work. Or is this somebody who has no UKBA documentation that says they can work?
