Hi,pinkpanter wrote:Thanks really impressive. Please can you advice what documents have you sent in order to get so quick response. It really helps people like me as i need to apply in November this year and my case is also straight forward. i.e. Wife working more than 5 year with same employer, living in the same address for 5 years etc. I want to get advice from your experience. Would be appreciated.Vardon78 Posted: Sat Aug 27, 2011 10:00 am Post subject:

Just thought I'd pop in to share:
Application sent to home office : 11/07/11
Application received by home office: 12/07/11
Certificate of application received: 29/07/11
Certificate of application date: 20/07/11
Letter from home office requesting additional documents received: 05/08/11
Letter from home office requesting additional documents date: 02/08/11
Additional documents sent to home office: 08/08/11
Additional documents received by home office: 09/08/11
PR received: 27/08/11
PR stamp date: 10/08/11
All in all, the whole process took 6 weeks I wasn't expecting to receive my passport back until sometime in late October or early November going by other people's experience in this forum, but I guess my application was pretty straightforward. I didn't use a solicitor, just submitted everything myself. Good look everyone who's going through the process
Hi Vardon, congrats again on getting everything sorted so quickly!Vardon78 wrote:Hi,pinkpanter wrote:Thanks really impressive. Sorry for the late reply. The documents I originally sent with the application were wage slips, P45's, P60's, bank statements, civil partnership certificate and some utility bills for the last 5 years. The additional documents they asked for was more evidence my partner was exercising treaty rights for the years of 2006 and 2010 and proof that I had been in the UK for 5 consecutive years, something that the application does not ask for (the application only asks for evidence from the EEA national), so I sent my P60's, wage slips, employment letter and bank statements for the past 5 years.
Thanks Vardon78,Hi,

Hi pinkpanter. The EEA4 form does not mention P60's or wage slips as valid evidence of residence in the UK. It does mention utility bills, tenancy agreements, and bank statements - the last two of which are what I used to prove residence. They don't care about your employment history, just the fact as to whether you were resident in the UK for the required length of time.pinkpanter wrote:Thanks Vardon78,Hi,

So it means I also need to send MY (non-eea) employment history (i.e. P60??
I am a US national.seputus wrote:Hi Vardon, congrats again on getting everything sorted so quickly!Vardon78 wrote:Hi,pinkpanter wrote:Thanks really impressive. Just wanted to clarify something though. On EEA4, the treaty right evidence is all about your EEA partner, but EEA4 does ask for proof of residence for yourself. This is shown in Section 7, where you must detail every date you were not in the UK, and also in section 10 page 20, "as evidence of residence in the UK by you... ...this can include tenancy agreements, utility bills, etc."
Also, I'm in the same position as you (recently submitted EEA3 and EEA4). Can I ask what nationality you are? I'm wondering if UKBA give less scrutiny to certain nationalities.
why refused? plz sharemade_in_ussr wrote:Hello there

I got it today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!seputus wrote:Hi all.
I sent an application for EEA3 and EEA4 together. Here's what happened so far:
17/08/11 - Sent EEA3 + EEA4 to Home Office (1.3kg of documents - I included a special delivery return envelope w/ extra postage to support the weight)
09/09/11 - I called the UKBA to enquire as to why I hadn't yet received any Certificate of Application. I (non-EEA national) explained my employer was looking for it. They said they'd send an enquiry to the appropriate team.
16/09/11 - I received the Certificate of Application for EEA4 (dated 09/09/11!). My partner also received their passport and document confirming permanent residence (EEA3) ! Interestingly, all documents were sent by recorded delivery (not using the prepaid envelope I supplied which I hope they'll use for my passport)
So, point is - EEA3 received in 1 month!
EEA4 still pending... I really hope mine will be coming very soon! Given that they've confirmed my partner has PR and we have been clearly married more than 5 years, it should be very straightforward....... So I think!
