Hi All,

I am applying for my extesion on 2dec in person i.e premium service.

I pay slary to myself and no dividends. Apllying with 1 dependent.
I am planning to submit the following docs, Please correct me if i am missing anything

1) Filled in forms for me
2) Filled in PBS Dependent form.
3) Pass ports
4) Salary slips of past 12 months
5) Bank statements for last 12 months ( Not carrying any seperate letter about maintenance funds)
6) Marriage cert.
7) Letter from my accountant about the total earning in the last 12 months and things like he is looking aftr accounts etc etc.
8)Print of PBS calculator showing i have enough points.
9) Letter from my previous employer about the earnings (the employer rounded off my salary to a whole number eg. 1000.78 reflected in my sal slip but 1000.00 was credited to my bank account) to justify this i got a seperate letter.(plz let me know if this is very crucial)
10) Deg certificate.
11) council bill

Not including cover letter, please somebody suggest me if this very important.

Can I claim the visa fees paid towards my tier1 extension as the company expense?
No. Or alternatively, if the company does pay then when the form P11D is completed for you next spring, the visa fee would need to be there, and you will end up paying tax on the benefit-in-kind.

Thanks John for your reply.
I spoke to my accountant he still says we can claim it as expenses and save the tax on that money.

Also please do you think the above docs are enough? and in PEO do we have to carry the photocopies of all the docs?

Thanks in advance for your expert advice

Post by pkat » Thu Dec 01, 2011 11:31 am

Hi All,

Out of past 12 months of my employment I was an employee of a company for the 1st 4 months. That is from Dec2010 - march 2011. Do I need to produce P60 as a supporting document? If it very important then what is alternative as I dont have P60 from my previous employer.

Please clarify me soon.
