What Type Of Criminal Conviction Can Affect Citizenship.

Post by AYOUB » Wed Nov 23, 2011 8:08 pm

I was just wondering one of my friend had a conviction for shouting four years ago, no serious crime convictions, but he's vow to clear his name based on latest evidence and latest developement, currently in the high court and the european court of human right and the new application has also asked applicant why they are on welfare supplement to ascertained if it's not a fault of their own, i was wondering would that affect such application as a threat to the state and common good for citizenship, any take.......

A conviction for shouting sounds a bit harsh. Have you ever seen Dublin city centre at the week end. There are lots of people shouting?

If that is all it is it should be easy enough to deal with. However if ther are other offences such as "threatening behaviour", "conduct likely to lead to a breech of the peace", then it will not be as easily dealt with.

Now you have nail the point, in that perspectives, could you turn shouting to a ''threat'' in any well organised society ?

The word ''Threat'' should be re-define by the politicians in Ireland, otherwise, it will often be used by in-competent civil servant or struck down by the high court or otherwise.
