Ilr Long Residency 10 Years.. Advise Needed

HI All,

I would be very grateful, if some one please help in this matter.

My 10 years LongResidence will be completing next Month, I want to apply less then 28 before completion of my 10 years on Form SET (O).
During this time I stayed on Student Visa, PSW, then presently on Tier 2 (Work) Visa.

No breaks during this time.

I have all my previous passports which I held during 10 years.

applied for SAR from UKBA and awaiting their reply.
Already passed Life in UK Test.
Form Sections for longer residency looks fairly simple, my only concern is supporting documents.

Please advise what additional documents do I need to submit.

Do I have to submit payslips, GP letters, for every year, or

My past Passports should be enough to prove my residency?

You can apply for ILR within 28 days before your 10 years period completing.

You do not require any additional supporting documents under the 10 years rule, other than the following things:

1. SET (O) Application form

2. Correct Visa Fees for ILR

3. All of your current and previous Passports, which shows your UK Visa's.

4. LIUK Test Pass Certificate

5. Two recent passport size photographs of yours.

According to UKBA policy guidance, you must also need to meet the following requirements for ILR:

1. "The applicant must not have one or more unspent convictions within the meaning of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974" by UKBA.

2. The continuity requirement for your 10 year period in the UK.

If I went on holidays abroad three times during this period, and each trip was less then one month.

Please advise if This does't effect under the continuity requirement for 10 year period in the UK.

Hi zeeshop,

Your holidays are ok, the rules state that you will qualify as long as that you were not absent from the UK for more than six months at any one time, and had existing leave to enter or remain upon their departure and return..

kumarcuk is right, you do not need to include any other supporting documents. I applied under this rule back in August and was granted my ILR in ten week. I did not include a covering letter or SAR. All I submitted with my application was as follows:

Current and previous passports
Two photos
Life in the UK test certificate
Police Registration Certificate

BigSam gave you the Right information in this regard.

Since your trip to abroad is less than Six months at each time and less than 540 days total Absences , you didn't break the continuity requirement for ILR application under 10year Long Residency rule set by UKBA.
