Question about the application

I am filling the Naturalisation application and there is a question for

YOUR PERSON IDENTITY NUMBER

I am not sure what they are looking for? it is not the PPS number and not the GNIB number

any advice?

that's a new thing in INIS. each person has their own person numbers. once you make an application, you will be notified of yours. leave it blank at the moment, if you don't know it yet.

It's your 69 number.

Look at page 3 of the application form "Detailed Guidance on Filling out the Application Form" where they give explanatory notes, it states:

Section 2: Identification

2.7 Write your GNIB number (This is found on your GNIB card).
2.8 Write your Person Identity Number: (69/12345/12 old version or 123456-12 new version ID issued from Oct 2011)

Tandor is correct, the number is your 69/ Number:

2.6 Write your PPSN, which has 7 digits and a letter at the end. It is issued by the Department of Social Protection.
2.7 Write your GNIB number (This is found on your GNIB card).
2.8 Write your Person Identity Number: (69/12345/12 old version or 123456-12 new version ID issued from Oct 2011)
