Hey all...

Anyone else had any news or updates? Each day is like a lifetime at the minute, another week is more than half way through...I really hope others are getting closer to decisions.

Becks xx

Hi Becks

Not heard anything but not expecting to at the moment as I am only on 36 working days. Also found another holiday the ukba take in egypt on the 6th Jan so my 60 working days has gone from the 12th Jan to the 15th now :-( seems like a life time away.

Yours I would imagine shouldnt be long now becks x

I'm maybe calculating this wrong but as the 6th Jan is a Friday, they would be closed anyway?

If its 60 working days, are we to count Friday and Saturday as weekend and Sunday to Thursday as the working days?

If they are closed for two days for Christmas, is this Christmas Eve (24th) and Christmas Day or Christmas Day and Boxing Day (26th). Makes a day difference as Christmas Eve is also a Friday when they will be closed anyway.

Hi Adelel

Yes its 60 working days so do not count friday and saturday. I got the 6th december from 2011 I dont know what it will be as yes your right it is a Friday but I assume they will have a day off in lou if its a public holiday not sure what date though - here is the link http://ukinegypt.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us ... y-holidays sorry for confusing you

Holidays coming up you need to count are

Xmas - 1 day 25th dec Sunday
Boxing day 1 day 26th dec Monday
NY Day 1 day 1st Jan Sunday
Coptic xmas 1 day not sure what date though :-(

How confusing!

Coptic Christmas is the 7th January.

The 6th is their Christmas Eve so I guess UKBA will be closed both days then, if you already think they are closed on the 6th?

the 6th and 7th are weekend and they are closed any way as its a friday and a saturday - so its only sunday the 8th which is a holiday and you cant count in your working days.

Yes, 18 working days today, so actually 60 days will be the 8th Feb with all the holidays considered. Just realised I can't count, ooops. Hope there are no errors like that in our application!!
