Hi, I hope you can help me as I need some clarification with regards to applying for naturalisation.
Our details are as follows:
South Africa Citizens
UK Ancestry
Currect status: ILR applied for December 2010, We arrived in the UK 19/01/2006 which I believe we can apply for naturalisation 19/01/2012.
I will be applying with my wife( main UK Ancestry holder) and son.
Dual citizenship: Retention of South African citizenship applied and granted November 2011.
My questions relates to the information we need to supply below as per Form AN.
"APPLICATIONS MADE ON THE BASIS OF RESIDENCE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM
Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 (or, if the applicant is married to or in civil
partnership to a British citizen, 3) years before the date of the application
• Your passports OR say why you are unable to provide one on page 13 and supply
• Letters from employers, educational establishments or other Government
Departments indicating the applicant’s presence in the United Kingdom during the
relevant period"
We will be providing our passports, but do we need to provide the underlined: letters from employers, etc?
We have a new baby(I understand will be british) which is due mid January 2012 and my wife has recently started her maternity leave.
Would she need to provide any other documentation?
Thanking you in advance for your assistance.
