Hello All,
Yesterday I had an appointment for my ILR (Set O) at Solihull , which was granted with 2 dependents.
Here is my History,
Came in UK on student visa in 2005.
Granted Work Permit within UK in January 2007.
Granted Tier 1 visa in May 2009.
Appointment Day,
My appointment was at 10.00 am
Reached PEO at 9.45, was given Token No and asked to wait.
At sharp 10.00 am , my number was called.
Visa officer was an Asian Guy, greeted my and asked
1.Form, Passports and Photographs.
2. Absense from UK during 5 years period, in my case it was 106 days.
3. 12 months payslips and Bank statements, which I arranged one month pay slip and same month bank statement, so that its easy for him to cross check.
4. He asked me why I am not applying for my daughter, I replied him that she is born in Uk and we will be applying her citizenship after this application. He then asked me " Are you sure? Have you asked about it before? " I answered YES.
5. He then asked for Co-Hab. documents for past 2 years.
6. His next question was " Are you receiving any benefits or received any in past"? This question put me in deep tension. I answered YES, we did received Child Benefits, which was cancelled immidiately after knowing that we are not entitled to it.
He then passed his sheet to Colleague sitting next window, she wrote something on it and passed it back.
I thought she might be his senior.
He then told me " Your application looks fine to me and I grant you and your family with ILR , subject to other checks. Please pay Fees on Counter no 6. and collect your passports after 2 hours" I asked him I have all Photocopies with me if he is interested to take them. He was happy to receive them and Thanked me for it. At about 1.30our number was called again and lady apologies us for delay and returned us our Passports and other documents duly stamped with ILR.
I thank this Forum specially to Sushdmehta, Vinny , John and all seniors for your valuable advises , and wish Good Luck to everyone who are waiting for their ILRs.
Many Thanks Once again.
Gerry
