Am I eligible to work while my application still in HO?

Dear all,

My Tier 1 General is going to expired today 8th Dec, 2011. I have posted my Extension application at 4th Nov, and did my Biometric on 19th Nov.

My HR just called me that they want me provide a regulation on HO website states that I am eligible to work while my application is still with HO (after my VISA expired which is today).

I know I am eligible to work, but can not find the regulation on HO website clearly states that I still have the right to work.

Is any one could help me how to prove to my company please.

Now I only can show my company,

1. Acknowledgement letter from HO that received my application
2. Biometric invitation letter from HO

Yeah, as you have made an application before your authorised stay ends, you are eligible to work. Look at FAQ in below link

The leave will be extended by the virture of Immigration Act 1971 Section 3C.
