PSW, staying outside UK

Dear Members,

My friend has got PSW, but he has been in his home country for over 6 months. My questions are;

Is there any limit on the time that can be spent outside UK whilst on PSW?

If he wants to extend his visa by changing his category to Tier 1, when he should go back to UK? Is there any legal bounty that before changing visa category to tier 1, person should spend X months in UK?


His PSW will expire in December next year.

no such requirements exist, as far as i know...

but i suggest you do a bit of reading up.. just in case you mean tier 2! and not tier 1
