Any suggestion? Delay with MN1 registration

Post by another » Sun Nov 20, 2011 6:58 pm

Hi. I applied for naturalisation, with my wife, through NCS in August. I got confirmation with in 6 weeks. However due to issues with my daughter's references (born outside UK, on ILR) I ended up sending her MN1 application via post 1 week after.

Its almost 6 weeks since myself and my wife had our confirmation. I am now getting worried about my daughter's MN1 reg.

Calling HO is of no use. I have sent a further letter explaining the events, 2 weeks ago but have not heard from HO yet.

Any one has similar experience?
I wonder sending my daughter's application via post rather than NCS and separate from our application delaying the process?

When was the fee taken? When did you receive the acknowledgement letter?
NCS or postal should not matter much.

Thanks Jumbo

I sent application 3rd Sept. Got letter dated 13 or 14 sept.

On the MN1 form i had ticked joint family application but as i have said earlier, i ended up sending MN1 form for my daughter seperatly and that to via post

Last month i sent them a letter explaining the events. However even that has been now 4 weeks ago.

As usual calling them is no longer an option. I did not get any reply except wait for 6 months. :-)

I would not worry too much. 3 months is not unusual. You will probably receive a decision in a few weeks.

Finally got the certificate for my daughter.
It took 13 weeks by post ( as against 6 weeks for our own application via NCS)
