Can student with criminal record apply for tier4 extention?

Read 245ZX (for leave to remain as Tier 4 migrant) and 245FD (for leave to remain as Tier 1 (PSW) migrant).

According to that it does not effect my visa extention it effects ILR only. Please confirm is that correct . Thanks
