Could someone tell me what format the reference number should be in?

Submitted our application today and got a text message with an application reference number but it isnt working on the Gerrys site. The number is in the following format:
GRY-PK-xx-xxxxxx-X

The small x's are letters but I have just removed them.

Any ideas?

Thats not the reference number, you should have a different reference number which should start with the letters from where you submitted it i.e. LHE - Lahore or KHI - Karachi

Another quick question.

If the SMS service is selected. Where do they get the numbers from that they send messages to?

Will they use the ones we put on the application? Meaning would I get a text message as well?

Thanks

I was hoping mine would, but little chance of that happening as it's mid Dec already.

Is there a chance that the decision could be upheld at the court hearing? or is it given that the decision will be overturned? iv been assured by my solicitor it will def get over turned..but suppose there's always a risk it wont, which im worried about.
Hi sana
My wife's visa also got refused in September I appealed in first week of October and was told by my solicitor that she is hoping it would get overturned it has been over 2 months now and I havnt heard anything as yet I emailed them and they replied saying the review is under process and I will be notified about the outcome once the review has been completed
Can you pls give me the email address you used for this contact?

Ok. JazakAllah.

When she was providing details for the SMS service (the one that costs an extra 200 Rupees), she provided the phone number of another relative. She didn't have her mobile with her and didn't know her own number.

Is that number only used for SMS purposes? Her mobile number is on the application. If they call, will they ring the number given on the application form?

Not to worried about the text message going to the other phone.

Exquisit33 wrote:Hi I was just going through some old post regarding call letter and when submitting the passport for visa stamp:

I have found that the following is required.. when going to submit passport you need to take:

This letter. Your passport will not be accepted at the UK Visa Application Centre if you fail to present this letter.

Your passport and the passport(s) of any member of your family if mentioned above. The passport(s) should have at least six months validity.
Would this be my husband's passport?

Please confirm your intended date of travel and length of stay.
What would we say for length of stay???? (Is there a form that we have to fill in to show this information?)

For settlement applicants please provide passport copy of sponsor showing their current immigration status.
Would that be my passport? Does it need to be attested and how do I get this to my husband? Also how do I show my immigration status? I am British born. Also do I need to give copies of every page? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?
You need to send your passport copy....it doesnt need to be attested..i scanned my passport and sent it via email and my wife printed it off....

when you submitt your husbands passport, u will need the calling in letter, tb certificate (if yours has expired), and copy of your passport.

length of stay = settlement

What's the difference between the two??

Reading last couple of pages and don't quite get this "call in letter" info.

Is it a letter included when one submits their case?

I think i will get my advisor to sort that out.

Im not sure

I have sent the visa papers through a family member and he should recieve it in a few days time and he hasnt even passed his test yet and im worried that the papers will be kind of old when he submits the case.

Will that affect my case?

Nazia, what are the top up vouchers for?
About your question, it all depends on when your husband passes his test.

Hi Everyone,

can't help but noticing everyone's cases on this thread.

My wife submitted her visa application on 15/07/2011 and it was refused on 12/08/2011. The appeal was lodged on 9/09/2011 for review.

I still haven't heard anything back with regards to the decision being overturned. Should I expect to receive a letter or a call ?

Does it normally take this long ? Is this good or bad ?

Would appreciate help.

Thanks
