Urgent: When can I apply to renew my visa status

Hi guys

I have a quick question-- my visa expires on 28th January. Due to lots of paper work it looks like I would be able to apply on very close to the last date of visa expiry say on 25th or 26th..is it possible?

*Will I have right to work even if I have not got acknowledgement letter on time or * Can I ring UKBA to get an telephonic acknowledgement?

* Is there any clause written on-line (as a proof) to show at my work place?

get the receipt that prove the date you posted your application via royal mail.

if thats before the date of expiry AND you have made a valid app, then you dont need ack letter etc.

if your employer wanna confirm your status, they can do so directly with ukba.
