Processing time for cases "Awaiting Verification"

Calling all those who are waiting verfication on their case from HSMP team.

HSMP case was applied in Dec 2005, initially case was rejected. After making first review, HSMP told in Feb 2006 that verfication is sought on the documents provided through relevant British High Commission. Almost 8 months have passed, since then there is no progress on the case.

In last 8 months whenever contacted to HSMP team to ask for the status, standard answer is given that they still have not received reply from BHC. A decision can not be given unless a reply is received by relevant BHC.

Now, my question is: Is there any way to speed up the verfication process???? If yes, what is it?

Is it possible to contact relevant BHC to ask for the status of the application? But the concern is that case has not been applied directly to BHC, it is applied to HSMP, in this scence will they (BHC) be able to give any information on the pending verification????????
